However, updation/ renewal facility will be available to all the existing jobseekers registered at any exchange. Specific details of the segment of job seekers catered to by the specialised exchanges may be referred to by clicking at the ‘EMPLOYMENT’ in the icon bar at the top of HOME page.

It is absolutely necessary that your latest records are available at the Exchange. If it is not so, then you may lose precious employment opportunities. Whatever additional educational qualifications, training or work experiences that you have acquired till date, should be promptly reported to the Exchange either directly or through this web site.

No. All the New Registration/ Updation of Existing Registration Data through this web site is stored in the temporary files and temporary registration number is allotted to the new job seeker. In either case a print out of new registration or updation of the existing registration can be obtained from the computer immediately after the new registration/ updation. This printed Sheet must be presented before the Employment Exchange officer for physical verification of the educational qualification/ training/ experience certificates within the stipulated time period as indicated on the sheet else the registration/ updation information would become invalid and therefore lapse by itself. This is for the reason that the accuracy of the bio-data and the educational records of the Job seekers is of utmost importance. Further, we want to prevent multiple registration at different Employment Exchanges, therefore, all such qualification/ training/ experience certificates are endorsed at their back by the concerned exchange officer during the confirmation visit to the Exchange. However, the fresh job seeker would retain his seniority if he gets the registration confirmed within the stipulated period.

    9
Yes. We have devised a system whereby all the new registration data at any of the exchange would get uploaded to the website. There is hardly any time lag between the registration and its uploading on this web site.

Basic aim of any Job seeker is to get a suitable placement with the help of the Employment Exchange. Since job opportunities in the public sector have consistently declined over the last decade or so, Employment Exchanges are unable to secure placements of Job seekers on the public sector jobs. On the other hand there are Job opportunities in the private sector, in both the organised and the unorganised sectors of the economy but these are not being efficiently tapped and identified by the existing set up of the Employment Exchanges. Hence the decentralised Rojgar Sahay Kendras can play a vital role in identification of the job opportunities in the private sector. Thus, RSKs are generally a kind of outlet run by a private party for providing the Employment Exchange services to the Job seekers and the Employers in a particular area.

    23
RSKs are authorised by the Directorate of Employment and Training, Gujarat State to provide all the services currently offered by the Employment Exchanges except the placement on public sector jobs. In other words, while the Job seekers can get registration, updation, renewal, career and vocational guidance etc. from RSK on nominal payment basis, however, the placement services on the private sector jobs would be provided by RSK without any charge.

    24
RSKs would provide placement services on mutually agreed payment terms to the prospective employers of their respective areas of operation in an efficient and speedy manner as they are given excess to the Employment Exchange database of the registered Job seekers. Further, RSK are authorised to receive the vacancy notification from the Employers in the Private sector registered under CNV Act or otherwise. Also they can also submit the Employment Market Information (EMI) returns of the Employers registered under CNV Act to the Exchanges.

    25
Details relating to the concept of RSK and the procedures for applying for RSKs have been provided in the "RSK" module of the home page of this web site. Applications for setting up RSKs are invited by publishing an advertisement in the leading newspapers of the Gujarat State from time to time.

    26
RSKs have been set up in public private partnership in all the major towns and district/ taluka head quarters of the Gujarat State. Extensive use of Information Technology enables Employment Exchanges to share their database with the RSKs and also keep it up-to-date. Employment Exchanges do not charge for their services and are managed by the State government. These are very few in numbers in each district and are generally at the district head quarters only. On the other hand, RSKs are large in numbers and spread all over the district. Further RSKs charge for their services and for this reason too, their approach and quality of services would be more personalised, speedy and efficient. In any case, RSKs role is not to replace but to supplement the services of the Employment Exchanges.
